EP23: Yearning as a Feminine State
shownotes
Maybe you are the kind of woman who does well on the Goddess circuit. You know the vibe I mean. Incense is a thing for you. You like your floaty maxi skirts and your floral hair garlands.
You are prone to taking pictures of yourself in a bikini in Tulum and painting gold on your third eye before communing with the internet.
Either way - Sex for a woman like you is likely a floaty affair. You got this feminine energy thing down.
Divine Feminine Can Take a Little Focus
For the rest of us however, channeling the divine feminine might take a little practice.
We may arrive in the bedroom after a long day bringing in the dollars or championing the children or holding space for friends - and often after all of the above. And the idea of sex? Can seem more than a little daunting. Frankly, you'd rather make love to a good glass of red wine and your latest Audible download.
Something smoulders however
I remember once working with a photographer on a project when I was living in London. I told her what I did for a living and she kinda giggled and then asked me in hushed tones:
"Look. Do you think it is possible for a woman to actually enjoy sex if her heart is closed?" she asked me. "Like unless we feel love, is there anything actually going on for us?"
My reply?
I don't think so.
Playing sexually without love will possibly feel very good indeed. I don't espouse any morals around this.
But playing sexually with an open heart and pussy?
Is one of the most sublime experiences known to womankind.
Long may it be so.
Long may it be that the Divine Feminine enters the room.
