My Winter Time Rituals
rituals for quiet days
It is the time of year for rest, to stop. As such, I won't be sending much out this month. And I encourage you to also quieten and go within if you are in the Northern Hemisphere.
Below is both a poem, for your delectation. And some ways in which I tend to myself in the dark. I hope you also are able to find tender nurture for yourself and your loved ones. See you in January!
my winter rituals
1. I sleep in later
2. I live without electric light after dark
3.I hang coloured lights to celebrate
4. I bake more and I add spice
5. I suck fat off of meat. I drink it deep.
6. I pray
7. I soak in hot pools in the frosty night
8. I stop and let the snowflakes touch my face
9. I cuddle more around fires
10. I concentrate on happy generosities.
11. I write more
12. I allow myself to dream
13. I wrap myself in cloth I adore
an ending practice
One of my favourite journal exercises is to write a list of at least 50 things that I celebrate at having experienced, achieved or completed this year. It's a fanastic way to bring closure and to clean house ready for the new. Because if you never pay attention to how far you've come, then how can you build into the coming magic?
I'll no doubt post my list online soon - as it's something I love to share with my community.
I'd love you to tag me and share yours too!

WANNA GET CLOSER?
The Temple is my online membership offering that brings together women from all over the world to learn the kickass, graceful undoing that is true feminine power, and to unlearn what we have been taught thus far about our limitations as women.
Think collective spellbreaking.
Think the claiming of more, personally.
Think fun, love and online badassery..
